Guardians of the Forests

Home

Tully has became a myth among travelers who hike through the forest he calls home. They are much more dramatic than what actually happens during those chance encounters.

If he was ever asked "Would you like to go home?", he would say that he already is home. He left the pebbles from his past to move on to larger views of rocks that towered high above him. The forests may allow for personal space and thinking, but it is far from isolation and solitude. There are many things to explore and other forest creatures to observe.

Rarely does he have the chance to listen to the morning larks, but it suits him just fine. The song birds in the late afternoon are his favourites. He may even attempt to join in their chorus of whistles and caws. As the other voices fade, he silences as well since the night has fallen and it is the prime time to hunt.

The night is Tully's true friend. The small prey are easy to pick off, but the fun is in the elk and deer that strut by. Sometimes he may team up with the cougars that stalk their prey from the trees. They take down larger creatures like moose and feast well long after.

Tully's home is the forest, where the forest is only lonely to those who do not welcome it as a friend, the mountains that stand proud even when the winds ram into the cliff faces, and the night where the bounty is plentiful, with the occasional lost soul who stumbles through.
